Ordering an event stage from outside Canada is straightforward when the details are settled before you order. This checklist covers what to confirm, in the order most buyers work through it, so the stage that arrives is the stage your event needs.
1. The stage size
Measure the space and decide what happens on the stage: a speaker, a band, a presentation or a ceremony. Every MyStage stage is built from 4 ft x 4 ft (1.22 m x 1.22 m) decks, so round your size to whole decks. Common event sizes run from 8 ft x 12 ft (2.44 m x 3.66 m) to 16 ft x 20 ft (4.88 m x 6.10 m). The Stage Builder works out the decks for any footprint.
2. The stage height
Standard legs adjust from 4 to 28 in (10 cm to 71 cm); Biggies go up to 36 in (91 cm). Think about the audience: seated or standing, and how far back the last row is.
3. Access
Decide where performers get on and off. MyStage stairs have three steps with grip tape and a railing, for stages up to 28 in (71 cm). A single step up suits lower stages.
4. Open edges
Plan railings for edges that are not used for access, especially at the back and sides of a raised stage. Railings come in 4 ft (1.22 m) sections.
5. The surface underneath
MyStage was designed to make a flat, level surface on uneven terrain outdoors, and each deck stands on five legs including a center leg that reduces bounce. Check the ground where the stage will stand and adjust the legs to level it.
6. The finished look
Skirting in black or white hides legs, cables and cases. Each skirt is 16 ft x 28 in (4.88 m x 71 cm).
7. Storage and transport after the event
Folded decks are 2 ft x 4 ft (0.61 m x 1.22 m) and stack. Gear bags protect decks, and castors with brakes help crews move decks around a venue.
8. Freight, duties and timing
MyStage prices are in US dollars (USD), and your card issuer converts the charge to Canadian dollars. We ship to Canadian addresses outside Quebec. We do not ship to Quebec. Freight to Canada is quoted per order, so contact us with the products you want and your postal code for an international shipping estimate, and ask about import duties, GST/HST and brokerage at the same time.
Leave enough time between ordering and your event for freight to arrive, and confirm the delivery address can receive a freight shipment.
9. Currency
Prices are in US dollars. If your organization budgets in Canadian dollars, check the conversion with your card issuer or finance team before approving the order.
